Keep Going; God's Got It

Being a Christian is a constant battle. We have are different. That's good, but sometimes, it seems like it's not worth it. Wether it's bullying at school, not being able to do stuff other kids do, or more solemn stuff like spiritual warfare, it can be hard. I'm here today to offer encouragement to you. God holds this entire world in his hand, so you think he's going to forgot you? He knows how many hairs are on your head, he calls you by name, he delights in your presence. He didn't forget about you, even if you think he did. Jesus is the shepherd, and we're his lambs. And the one rule of shepherds? No man left behind. God tells us to cast all our anxieties on him because he cares for US! (1 Peter 4:7) Wether it's a big test, friend problems, or something bigger, give it to God. He can do it.

Are you tired? Matthew 11:28 says "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." God is the ultimate rest, and one day, we will attain that in Heaven. But for right now, keep going. Jesus is right there next to you, holding your hand, guiding you, helping you choose the right path.

Are you worried? Don't be. God knows how human we are in our cares and worries. That's why he tells us in Phillippians:"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." He is telling us, commanding us, to lean on him, give him our worries. Pray.

Matthew 6:26 states, "Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" God feeds the birds, why shouldn't he feed us? He does, He did, and He will. The birds don't worry about where their daily food comes from. Neither should we.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." End of story. God cares so much for us that he sent His only Son to be born in the lowliness of a stable. What happens next? Jesus died in the most humiliating, human way possible for our sins. But that wasn't the end. He rose from the grave, victorious, and defeated death. He destroyed the chains of death and sin so that we could live. And that's the greatest gift.

“But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” – 1 Timothy 6:11-12, NIV"
